40 Miles north of Scituate is the infamous and historic town of Salem. Famous for its witch trials and well-known author, Nathanial Hawthorne, Salem is worth the trip. Within 10 minutes from The Salt Marshes, you can purchase fresh fish and enjoy a sea-to-table meal! Watch our local fishermen bring in their catch in the beautiful harbors of Scituate and Cohasset. Looking for a fun off-season day trip out of Scituate?  Consider visiting Provincetown on the very tip of Cape Cod. While we wouldn’t recommend enduring Cape traffic during the summer, it’s an easy off-season drive.
